Summary:
Under supervision, learns to compound and dispense medications following prescriptions issued by physicians, dentist or other authorized medical practitioners.
Provides consultative services to both clients and health care providers.
Compounds and dispenses medications by weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.
Provides information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage and proper medication storage.
This position works to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Doctorate or professional degree in pharmacy from an accredited college or university AND current Georgia license to practice pharmacy Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
Previous public health experience.
Salary Information:
$45 per hour / up to 29 hours weekly Cobb and Douglas Public Health a nationally accredited health department, headquartered in Marietta, Georgia since 1920 promotes and protects the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas counties in partnership with several other agencies.
